The Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) and ELSPA have a new report out on gaming in the UK and Europe, the ISFE 2010 European Gamer Survey…
“32 per cent of the UK population now classify themselves as gamers, thanks in part to the rise of online and mobile gaming.”
“25.4 per cent of the adult UK population classify themselves as gamers, with 1 in 3 men playing videogames and 1 in 5 women.”
“74 per cent of 16-19 year olds classify themselves as gamers, while ‘only’ 60 per cent of 20-24 year olds do so.”
And according to the same report, the desktop PC is overwhelmingly the most popular platform for playing games in the UK… although they do include all the Flash-based mini-games for the mouth-breathers.
